Dominican Republic Trip

Project Serve Mission Trip: Dominican Republic

Dates: July 1-9, 2013
 
Orientation: Our first team meeting will be January 14th and this date and future meetings are TBA. Meetings are from 5-7pm at Faith Fellowship Church: 4375 Ebenezer Road, #B; Perry Hall, MD 21236.
 
Travel: Leave BWI Airport for Dominican Republic on July 1st; depart Dominican Republic for BWI Airport on July 9th. Specific flight details will be given to all members before departure.
 
Project: Activities may include VBS/Children's Camp, Sports Camp, street evangelism and drama, distribution of Bibles and Gospel Tracts and medical clinics. There may be a construction/work project available along with several community service projects based on teams' skills. 
 
Cost: $1,700.00 -- cost may increase/decrease due to airfare, gas tax, etc.
     Includes:
               a) Round trip plane fare from BWI to Dominican Republic
               b) Housing, food, and transportation while in Dominican Republic, Ministry and Work Project materials and                     some admin. costs
               c) A day at the beach and other cultural activities
 
Fund raising: Each participant will be required to fund raise the cost of the trip. Group fund raising events may be planned by the team.
 
Team size: 15-35 people (15 minimum needed to carry out this project)
 
Team members: Family oriented missions trip with an emphasis on youth (You must be at least 12 years old to participate; **8-11 years old may go if BOTH parents go on the trip as well.)
 
Registration: January 1, 2012. After May 1st there may be a significant price increase. Each applicant will be required to deposit 10% of trip cost when accepted. Registrations are transferable but not refundable.
